Data we process and why

Depending on how you use the site, we may process:

  • Estimation tool: the address and characteristics of the property (type, area, rooms, condition, energy class, year). Purpose: to produce an estimate. Legal basis: your consent and pre-contractual measures.
  • Contact form: name, email, telephone, message and details qualifying your enquiry (intent, budget, timeline), together with the consent recorded. Purpose: to respond to your enquiry. Legal basis: consent and pre-contractual measures.
  • Technical data: connection logs (including IP address) generated by the host. Purpose: security and proper operation of the site. Legal basis: legitimate interest.
  • Legal obligations: where a business relationship arises, identity checks (AML/CFT) may be required. Legal basis: legal obligation.

Current state of processing

At present the site’s forms operate without a server: the information you enter is neither stored nor transmitted to a server or CRM — it stays in your browser. This policy will be updated as soon as such a service is put in place.

Recipients and processors

  • Hosting: Netlify, Inc. (512 2nd Street, Suite 200, San Francisco, CA 94107, USA).
  • Address lookup: Luxembourg’s Geoportail / Land Registry and Topography Administration. Only the address query you type is sent to this public service.

We do not sell your data. Apart from the conversion measurement described below, we do not use any identifying data for advertising.

Advertising measurement (Google Ads)

We measure the effectiveness of our advertising campaigns using the Google Ads tag, provided by Google Ireland Ltd (Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). It runs in “consent denied by default” mode (Google Consent Mode v2): no advertising cookie is stored and no identifying data is processed for advertising. Only aggregated, modelled (estimated) conversions are shared with Google. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in measuring the effectiveness of our campaigns.

Transfers outside the European Union

Hosting (Netlify) may involve a transfer of data to the United States, governed by the European Commission’s Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention periods

  • Contact enquiries: 12 months in the absence of a contractual relationship.
  • AML/CFT records: 5 years after the end of the business relationship (legal obligation).
  • Technical logs: a short period, for security purposes.
  • Estimation (local storage): kept in your browser until you clear it.

Your rights

Under the GDPR you have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time.

To exercise your rights, write to us at contact@rivegauche.lu. We respond within one month.

Complaints

You may lodge a complaint with the Luxembourg supervisory authority: Commission nationale pour la protection des données (CNPD), 15, boulevard du Jazz, L-4370 Belvaux, Luxembourg — https://cnpd.public.lu.

Changes

We may amend this policy. The version in force is the one published on this page, on the date shown above. In the event of any discrepancy between language versions, the French version prevails.
